If your client successfully meets the prequalification criteria, an Assessment will be performed by an authorized clinician. The clinician will verify that the client meets the necessary prequalification, will provide an orientation to the product, and will evaluate your client’s physical, cognitive, and perceptual skills to operate the product safely and effectively. That evaluation will result in the clinician making a recommendation. If the recommendation is that the consumer is appropriate for the product the clinician may need to write a Letter of Justification that will provide the basis for necessity to support the reimbursement process. Because the iBOT® Mobility System allows a person to climb stairs alone or with an assistant, we recommend that your client have an assistant present during this evaluation. |
