“As an avid traveler with a disability, I have often been restricted from going to where my curiosity wanted to lead me. With the iBOT® , I can finally satisfy that curiosity.
 

For my birthday, I went back to Venice, one of my favorite cities, where many of the arched bridges were difficult to cross while I was in my old wheelchair. This time, the iBOT® allowed me to cross all of them and truly enjoy every inch of Venice, the world’s ultimate pedestrian city.

The iBOT® gave me the courage to visit Egypt, where one does not encounter many people in
wheelchairs. I was able to prove to amazed onlookers that the ancient sites, old temples, and the pyramids are no longer an obstacle to someone in an iBOT® . Even at home in London, where most of the buildings are old and inaccessible, stairs are no longer a problem. I live on the sixth floor of my apartment building where the lift has broken down twice this year. Normally, I would not be able to get back to my flat until the lift is fixed. Now I just climb the stairs all the way up!
 

Eighty percent of my time with the iBOT® is spent in the Balance mode, which puts me at the height of about 6’1”. I think there is something therapeutic and magical about the Balance mode of the iBOT® , something nice about being tall again, up high and at eye level. These new achievements make me feel independent again and ready to explore the world.
