	What is the INDEPENDENCE® iBOT® Mobility System?

		The INDEPENDENCE® iBOT® 4000 Mobility System is unlike any power wheelchair. Its combination of unique, innovative functions allows you to go places and do things not possible with any other single mobility device. The iBOT® Mobility System offers five functions: BALANCE FUNCTION Easily raise yourself to reach high shelves and countertops. Safely travel at eye level. 	How does the iBOT® Mobility System work?

		A revolutionary mobility system from Independence Technology, L.L.C. the iBOT® Mobility System utilizes our patented iBALANCE® Technology. It is custom-programmed and calibrated to the owner’s center of gravity. Reach forward in Balance Function to shake hands, and your iBOT® 4000 Mobility System moves with you. 	How much does the iBOT® Mobility System cost?

		For the cost of $26,100, the iBOT® Mobility System can provide the functionality of several devices and introduces you to a new level of independence not possible with any other mobility product. 	Is the iBOT® Mobility System safe to use?

		From the earliest design phases, Independence Technology, L.L.C. has put your safety first. The iBOT® Mobility System is one of the most thoroughly tested devices in the mobility product category. The iBOT® Mobility System has been clinically tested by people with disabilities as part of the FDA approval process. In addition, the iBOT® Mobility System includes built-in triple redundant backup systems to provide even more safety and assurance. In addition to the built-in triple redundant safety features, the iBOT® Mobility System includes numerous safety precautions and uses visual and auditory signals on the User Control Panel to alert users with warning signals, caution signals and other information about the product status. We will take you through a series of questions prior to the assessment, and customers are required to successfully complete a driver training program and test in order to receive delivery of the iBOT® Mobility System. All of these programs are designed to ensure that you feel comfortable with the product and can safely operate the iBOT® Mobility System. 	How is stability achieved in the iBOT® Mobility System?

		The iBOT® Mobility System contains patented iBALANCE® Technology, an integrated combination of sensor and software components and multiple computers that work in conjunction with gyroscopes. Gyroscopes are motion sensors that help maintain balance. When the gyroscopes sense movement, a signal is sent to the computers. The computers receive information from various sources and process that information to maintain stability. Top of Page
